Dira

Dira is a practicing Hellenistic astrologer and student Jyotishi in the lineage of Shri Achyutānanda Das devoted to using astrology to empower people to remember their unique roles in the grand ecosystem of the cosmos. She also really likes to climb around in tops of old growth trees.

Her dream for North Star is to create a space where people from as many different disciplines as possible can come together to share ideas under actual starlight.

Hawk

Hawk Grubb is a magician, diarist, and professional astrologer and magical mentor based in the Pacific Northwest. With over a decade of experience in ceremonial magic and astrology, Hawk blends the personal with the traditional. They work closely with Greco-Roman deities (to name one: Apollo) and are a disciple to the living, communicative universe. You can find them at hawkstrology.com.

They want North Star to exist because they love people and want to be with them. Their people are magicians and astrologers, and because Apollo told them it would be sick if hawk threw a campout just for them.

Josh

Josh Proto makes carefully ensouled talismans in the Picatrixian tradition, is an accomplished singer in the Hindustani vocal tradition & singer/dancer in Newah Charya, is a literal Buddhist priest, a literal Lama in the Rime tradition, & tends to many pigeons.

He wants North Star to exist because he knows that if enough of us who practice magic come together, then we can shape the world into the paradise we know is possible.

Aidan Watcher

Aidan Wachter is an animist magician/witch-thing. He believes that magic is a natural part of the human experience and one that, when ignored, can lead to pathological states both in the individual and the societies they are part of. His focus is on working with allied spirit ecologies and what he calls the Old Lines: the blood and spirit ancestors that sit well behind those ‘known’ to us and that run back to points long before the rise of homo sapiens. He believes that magic is largely a process of remembering in body, mind, and spirit.

Eric Purdue

Eric Purdue is the translator of Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa’s seminal work, Three Books of Occult Philosophy. He has practiced magic and astrology for over 35 years, with a particular focus on practical folk and astrological magic, as well as Lukumi. Through his lectures and writings on traditional astrology and talismanic magic, he is a notable voice on the subjects of medieval astrology, traditional magical systems, the legacy of Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa. His translation of Three Books of Occult Philosophy was more than 10 years in the making. He is also Hawk's boyfriend.

ZamboniFunk

As an astrologer, ZamboniFunk helps folks come into alignment with celestial timing. The stars are an apt guide for uncertain times, and Zamboni is a well-experienced translator.

As a musician, Zamboni’s ass cashes the checks his astrologizing mouth wrote. Funk, like Love, is Supreme; your nose knows it without qualification.
