Welcome to North Star

We love being around our people. As a magician, astrologer, or esotericist of any kind, those people may be far flung, and meetings can be few and far between.

Something crazy happens when you put us in a room together.

A group of people, slightly blurred by motion, sit in a circle around a fire in the dark.

The energy is electric, we get to nerd out about what makes us glow, and an emergent property arises, greater than the sum of its parts. North Star emerged with the question: “what if this but outside”

This year at North Star

North star is a living person who is taking shape. We’re summoning a pre-existing entity as well as building something. This duality is at the heart of this year. Substance, and Structure.

We’re creating a space to encourage both people who are new to ritual and spirituality to feel empowered and guided towards being able to start that practice, as well as people who are experienced in their field to be able to have conversations across disciplines, exchange techniques, and to make relationships with each other.

What to expect

This is scrappy. It's camping. You may have a life-changing spiritual experience.

Last year, North Star helped people connect to the person they actually want to be. We had a fire every night. We woke up at 3am to make Jupiter in Cancer petitions and talismans. People practiced archery. We held a Dionysian fest, with lamb and brisket, from the farm whether the event is hosted. We experienced a Sphere & Sundry bar at the foot of an ancient maple.

Some folks came to north star having no magical practice at all. They felt super inspired after the event. Some of those people now have magical practices. Where they felt intimidated, they got to experience in person down to earth magical stuff that actually gave them the door in. This is what it is about!
